Venue
The seminars will take place in Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) which maintains a strong emphasis on the natural sciences and engineering and is cited among Turkey's top Universities. The University campus is located approximately 40 km west of Izmir, near the historic town of Urla and about 1km from the beach! All classes will take place on campus and on campus lodging will be made available to students and faculty.
Cost & Expenses
Registration is free for participants, for which we thank the tutors who agreed to teach pro bono. 3-person IYTE dorms are available for on campus lodging and cost about 4 euros per night. The total cost of food and accommodation for the entire duration of the summer school is expected to be less than 150 euros per participant.
Financial Support
We are applying to the TUBITAK 2237 program which will cover local expenses for both students and faculty, if successful. In addition, the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Society of Turkey may provide a limited number of students travel fellowships. If you wish to participate but cannot cover travel costs, please send a message through the website. Be aware that funds are limited therefore, we kindly ask you to apply only if absolutely necessary.
